"Asters" now refers to Eurasian genera that are not closely related to the North American genera. I'm appreciating the late flowers that are just starting to bloom, like the Japanese Anemone, I was looking forward to my new aster that the deer ate but I put cages on them today, too late, and there is one tiny branch of buds left, then my 2 big Dahlia clumps are gearing up with lots of buds, so hopefully soon there will be lots of them.
