The apples make me think about the fall reading we did in elementary school. I have my eye on Moore's Striped Rugosa, since Rugosa roses are supposed to be left alone by deer.

I'm still trying to deal with piles of blackberry vines and substantial tree branches that had to be removed and now need cutting for firewood and chipping, but the rain makes all that difficult. It is nice to see everything greening up, though.Hannahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04773149110503024929noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1495323991307537519.post-80357787879988513532012-10-19T10:54:15.366-07:002012-10-19T10:54:15.366-07:00I totally agree with you on 'Rozanne'...it...I totally agree with you on 'Rozanne'...it could hardly be a better plant, just keeps blooming and blooming! This year I've really come to appreciate the Japanese Anemones as well...they are just so undemanding...and they do spread a bit, which is nice if you want to divide and add them to other spots :-)scottweberpdxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08740930947767329183noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1495323991307537519.post-61948198647902787472012-10-19T08:12:55.331-07:002012-10-19T08:12:55.331-07:00Hi Hannah, Your bloomers are impressive for sure. ...Hi Hannah, Your bloomers are impressive for sure. I LOVE that antique rose and could almost smell it through my screen. :) Your striped mini looks like my tall 'Fourth of July.' I love it. I have 'Jolly Bee' hardy Geranium which is a clone of 'Rozanne' and I wholeheartedly agree. What a stellar plant! I love Japanese anemonies too and Wowzers! That Clemmy flower is outstanding! And of course nothing beats a fresh, crisp apple straight from the tree this time of year. What a great post to get my day off to a great start.

Looks like we're in for a rainy weekend but I suppose the rain is good. Smiles.
