I'm trying to work on planting new beds and also keep on weeding the beds that have a lot of weeds. It's nice to see a few where my efforts have resulted in no weeding necessary.Hannahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04773149110503024929noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1495323991307537519.post-17539136137983706122013-04-30T15:17:47.647-07:002013-04-30T15:17:47.647-07:00Congrats on your blogiversary, Hannah. Tanna doesn't get much either. It is a very neat little plant. I wish it would spread, I've been considering trying to divide it but it is scary. I think I tried to grow Tanna from seed but didn't succeed.Hannahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04773149110503024929noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1495323991307537519.post-47232091828758087952013-04-27T20:14:10.024-07:002013-04-27T20:14:10.024-07:00I have just planted Sanguisorba ' Tanna' a...I have just planted Sanguisorba ' Tanna' and offincinalis ' red thunder' , I'm pleased that they aren't invasive ! I was very tempted by a variegated Hydrangea, also with fragrant white flowers, called Hydrangea scandens 'Fragrant Splash', seemingly everything I would want in a Hydrangea, but since I lost all my Hydrangeas to cold snaps in the last couple of years I couldn't quite take the plunge.Hannahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04773149110503024929noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1495323991307537519.post-45881745078499538472013-04-27T19:12:51.818-07:002013-04-27T19:12:51.818-07:00I don't know why but I've had a terrible t...I don't know why but I've had a terrible time finding Persicaria varieties other than Red Dragon and Painter's Palette, there are some excellent ones like Firetail, Dimity, and Blackfield. I guess they have a reputation for being invasive, so certainly should be planted in a place they will not overrrun other plants. I also have trouble finding another troublefree but vigorous plant genus, Sanguisorba, I have offincinalis which is an impressive tall plant, and Tanna which is very short, and have not found either to be invasive, I would like to find Pink Elephant.Hannahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04773149110503024929noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1495323991307537519.post-51425060230526490052013-04-27T17:02:15.732-07:002013-04-27T17:02:15.732-07:00Congratulations on your blogiversary and on your g...Congratulations on your blogiversary and on your great purchases.
