The other 2 Ghost varieties also started out very small, but are now becoming more like trees, which is fun but perplexing how to prune and shape them.Hannahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04773149110503024929noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1495323991307537519.post-10039454533857186262016-04-23T21:25:31.229-07:002016-04-23T21:25:31.229-07:00I LOVE your Japanese Maples, lovely photos! I have one as an experiment; Central Texas isn't the ideal environment for them but I'm hopeful. :-)Wendy Moorehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18316450203702279663noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1495323991307537519.post-28676886308477957172016-04-19T10:59:23.609-07:002016-04-19T10:59:23.609-07:00Thanks, Linda, isn't spring grand! Thanks, Linda, isn't spring grand!Hannahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04773149110503024929noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1495323991307537519.post-56070900624130457752016-04-19T10:58:52.240-07:002016-04-19T10:58:52.240-07:00Thanks Lea, I'm so wanting Sister Ghost to get...Thanks Lea, I'm so wanting Sister Ghost to get bigger with those gorgeious variegated leaves, she is only a foot tall.Hannahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04773149110503024929noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1495323991307537519.post-61571110122589089622016-04-18T08:19:01.281-07:002016-04-18T08:19:01.281-07:00Just beautiful trees with all the blossoms.Just beautiful trees with all the blossoms.Linda Kayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17237332954767037400noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1495323991307537519.post-64195420010361874232016-04-18T02:07:14.145-07:002016-04-18T02:07:14.145-07:00

They were here when we bought the house 22 years ago so I'm not sure just how much older than that they are. I know some Acers do grow smaller, good luck. Your Japanese garden looks exquisite with the black pots.Hannahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04773149110503024929noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1495323991307537519.post-54615852983938840892016-04-17T19:22:22.261-07:002016-04-17T19:22:22.261-07:00I love Acers and will absolutely have more than ju...I love Acers and will absolutely have more than just the two I have for now. There are soooo many to choose from! Loved all three of your ghosts but the huge one (palmatum?) was amazing! I have a Japanese inspired flowerbed and I am looking for a couple of acers to fit in there – not too big ones :-)<br />I am watching the new leaves of my rose ‘Rob Roy’ unfurling these days, and it is an exquisitely dark red colour on both stems and leaves. Absolutely gorgeous.HELENEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16112289914239038835noreply@blogger.com
