Comments on my GGBD and other posts for March 16 and 17

I made a mistake Sunday and deleted an extraneous incomplete post after posting a second completed post and managed to erase all my hard work.   I recovered the file and pasted it into a new post, but for some reason the comments seem to be disabled, so I am trying this.   If you want to leave a comment, do it here.

Thanks, Hannah

  3. Hi Hannah,

I no longer am able to work in the garden, so that makes me especially grateful for you sharing your beautiful blooms.

    Have a Happy Blue Monday!

  4. How frustrating for you. I did try, repeatedly, to leave a comment on your GBBD post, but finally had to give up. So, I'll just say it here: Your blooms were very colorful and beautiful and it does look like spring has arrived a bit early in the Northwest. A belated happy Bloom Day.

    1. Thanks, Dorothy. Spring does seem to come a little earlier than the calendar date here. My big marker is that the pink-flowering ornamental red-leaved plum trees start to bloom, and they started a few days ago. At least I learned something from my mistakes, and I guess I should have just written my blog again instead of trying to save it.;-( But that's a lot of work.

  5. I kept trying to leave a comment on your bloom day post as well. I love that Black Lace Primula that you grew from seed. I've seen it for sale in a few places this spring, and have been very tempted to buy. I may try growing it from seed too.

  6. I am very excited that it bloomed the first year from seed and keeps returning. The different Primulas I started last year from seed don't seem to be returning very well. I really enjoy finding things that can be started easily and return as well. This year I am trying several Coreopsis, Monarda, and Echinacea.

  7. I love all your daffodils! I hope it won't be long before mine appear, too. Thanks for visiting me, Hannah--will I see you at the Portland Fling?

    1. I hope your daffodils appear soon. I probably can't afford the Fling, I just retired so my plant budget comes first. It's great you can come out for it, I don't know yet what my options are. I'm sure you will have a blast.

    1. Well at least I learned not to delete an incomplete draft. I should have just started over and rewritten my blog but it took quite a while so didn't. I'm grateful people still bothered to post comments.

  9. I hate technology glitches. You work so hard to have a simple error mess it up. We all had our fare share at some point or another.

    1. Thanks, I am enchanted by variegated foliage, so I like the cream centers of the leaves. It's not the most vigorous Vinca I've ever grown but is slowly filling in so maybe it will choke out all the weeds soon.

  13. I went looking for your MoM pic...and then read about your disaster. I know exactly how you feel... I 'm sure we all do! I hope at least you enjoyed making the work.... Thanks for your comments on Mandarin Orange Monday:)))

  14. Thanks, Lorik, I guess I should do the one photograph post like many then I could just repost no sweat. But when I have spent time setting up all that stuff it was hard to abandon it, in retrospect I should have just done a faster job to repost normally, since the repair had problems. It was nice to be able to solve the problem with a work-around though.;-)

  15. Hooray for spring coming soon! You're right, it does seem to be here but a couple of cold nights have reminded me that it's not quite here yet!

  16. It's erratic, we had a frost again a few nights ago, then now it is very warm and sunny.
