Welcome to my post for What's Blooming Now. To see what is blooming in other people's gardens or houses now, go to hostess Carol's May Dreams Gardens website. GBBD finds not much blooming here outdoors after a week at temperatures around 10*F. So here are some indoor blooms. A plant I really enjoyed this year, Browallia americana, bloomed so well I brought one plant in to my aquaponics bed. It has slowed down but is still blooming-
Last week my Epiphyllum angulier, Ric Rac Orchid Cactus, bloomed, a rare occurence-
Thanks for visiting, Hannah
My faithful little Geranium is blooming, though a little over the hill-
A new red Cyclamen, these I find hard to keep alive indoors-
Thanks for visiting, Hannah
That last plant is very interesting, and pretty. Thanks for sharing it and all your indoor blooms for bloom day.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Carol, it is a rare occurrence for the Ric Rac cactus to bloom. Thanks for hosting!
DeleteA week of 10F - now that's cold! It is 29F here this morning, expected high near 50F, with a few days of sunshine before rain starts again.
ReplyDeleteReally good to have such cheerful blooms indoors!
Have a wonderful week!
Lea
Thanks, Lea, things have warmed up, and we managed to have dry enough weather during the cold spell that there wasn't much ice danger. The poultry and rabbit outdoors were not too happy, though, we had to put lights on them.
DeleteWow! That orchid is amazing. The bloom is very pretty.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dorothy, they are fragrant too, but only last one day.
DeleteYes , really pretty flowers, beautiful red Cyclamen !
ReplyDeleteThanks, Leovi, they are very colorful for Christmas but I find them hard to keep alive.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to have so many colorful blooms indoors on these cold days! I've always had trouble keeping cyclamen indoors, too, but love those little sweet flowers. Happy Bloom Day!
ReplyDeleteI'll see if I can do better. They seem to be very touchy about watering just right.
ReplyDeleteHannah what beautiful blooms to brighten these winter days
