Welcome to my Monday post. I didn't manage to post last week, still waiting for a new camera and also bogged down trying to decide on a smartphone plan and phones. If anyone wants to mention their favorite phone that would be fun. Today I am linking with-

It turned out that Mandarin Orange Monday is taking a break but I forgot to change my title before I posted so I couldn't change it.
Still dreaming of Spring, some irascible but dainty and colorful blue flowers that never fail to return, aptly named Forget-Me-Nots,
But indoors I have a little orchid blooming, Maxillaria sanguinea, the flowers are only 1" across-
My plants that I started Nov. 15 are now getting quite large, challenging my ability to keep them in good shape until they can be planted out to hopefully bloom much earlier, Coreopsis 'Sunburst', Monarda citriodora, and Browallia speciosa-
Grass Side Oats Grama, Monarda punctata, and Echinacea 'Bravado', with one tiny Phygelius, second from the right on the bottom row-
And I will wrap up with a couple of shots of my energetic cat Celeste, who wouldn't be still for a good shot but kept walking back and forth, we were both enjoying some nice sunny weather outdoors-
So, my Spring countdown is now at 52 days, and I need to be deciding on my tomato line-up this year and get the seeds sprouting in some zip-lock bags. I got some 60-day stratified seeds out of the refrigerator today and found Eupatorium maculatum had a couple of tiny sprouts coming up, so I'm glad I got them out! Hannah

Hi Hannah,
ReplyDeleteThose blue blooms are gorgeous!
Happy Blue Monday!
Thanks, Sally, I'm looking forward to seeing them again, and the rest of the blue and other colors of flowers.
DeleteGorgeous blossoms...I am not good with growing flowers. Love your kitty.
ReplyDeleteThanks, the little orchids are a treat in the winter. My kitty is very strong and a great hunter.
DeleteWonderful colors, beautiful flowers! I love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Leovi, I always enjoy your colorful and fascinating creations.
DeleteThanks, I enjoyed your snowy woods.
ReplyDeleteLove your flowers and your cat!
ReplyDeleteVisiting from Ruby Tuesday
Thanks, I enjoyed a glimpse into beautiful London parks and locations for your novel.
DeleteCeleste is a gorgeous fluffy character who clearly "owns" her world. And those flowers are delightful, especially the little orchid.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Gemma. Celeste does enjoy all her domain. I like the little orchid blooming in the winter. I just wish I were better at orchid growing, I think it would like to be in a more jungle setting rather than a pot.
DeleteWhat a beautiful kitty!!! Love the flowers too.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Teresa, she has lovely blue eyes.
DeleteHi Hannah
ReplyDeleteI do everything with my Iphone and I am hoping to upgrade to the Iphone 5 soon. Celeste looks adorable I love the way she keeps her socks so white. I'm impressed your plants are wintering well, it will be less than 50 days till spring by the time you read this! ;)
Wren x
Thanks, Wren. My son is an iphone programmer, he can't imagine owning another type of phone. The cats with the very different coats but white feet are a puzzle to me.
DeleteSpringtime at your blog today :-)
ReplyDeleteYour snow photos are beautiful if chilly. I'm glad it has been relatively warm here lately, even some sunny days.
DeleteI love Forget-Me-Nots so much and your photo of this wonderful flower is so, so beautiful!!! I like it very much!
ReplyDeleteYour kitty is such a beauty and the colours of the orchid are really wonderful, too!
Thanks, I love blue flowers, I like the Forget-Me-Nots until they start going to seed.
DeleteSpring? lucky. There is so much ice and snow, that I cannot remember the last time I saw a blade of grass.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the photographs. It is nice to know nature still exists.
The Forget-Me-Nots are from last year, it will be a while before they come here again. But we do have a mild winter without much snow here.
DeleteBeautiful flowers!...Christine
ReplyDeleteThanks, Christine, your table settings are so elegant!
DeleteI love the forget-me-nots, they're adorable little flowers.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Gunilla, it will be great to see them blooming again this year.
DeleteAhhh, so much beauty! Thanks for sharing the love up-close with I Heart Macro… sorry I'm so late visiting, I hope you will join again.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Laura. Thanks for hosting. I hope you get some warmer weather soon.
