Monday Mellow Yellows July 1, 2013

Welcome to my Monday Mellow Yellows post, for other posts click the link to Gemma's blog.  I'll start off with  a large daylily with a large geometric eye, Bold One-

And a small daylily with a small eye, more rounded-

Next is the vigorous yellow Rugosa Rose, Topaz Jewel, not needing deer protection, Yay!-

Happy 4th of July!

  1. What a beautiful rose! I must admit that other than tiger lilies and the way the Asiatic lilies smell they are not my favorite flower. I do like the one in your first picture though. Very pretty

  2. Thanks, the yellow Rugosa is different from all my other Rugosas which are mostly singles. I have Bold One planted with a gold daylily and a purple one that matches the purple eye zone, I like them together.

  3. The soft yellows are so restful! I used to have daylilies like the top image. Thanks for the wonderful memory!

    1. You're welcome, Jeanne. I used to have more daylilies than I do now too.
